Evil Landlord #1

new-headerMe in da KitchenFirst I want to apologize, it seems I have missed a whole day, with moderating the sites and the start up of the new affiliate business, it’s been crazy busy getting the pages set up, and it’s not finished yet, and I have fallin behind on my readings, but I will get to them. This post will be yet another addition to “My Story”, I want to take you back to Sept 4, 2009, I was living in Mississauga, Ontario and still working at horror hell “SunGard”. It was sort of their last ditch effort to get rid of me, SunGard that is, any way the story begins with a friend appearing at my door late June of 2009. After a couple of weeks went by I came to find out he was running from the “Law”, to make along story short, he now had to be back in Renfrew Ontario for 5 pm for a meeting with his probation officer, it’s now 12:55 pm, a five hour drive to get him there, knowing it was next impossible to accomplish. So I picked up the phone and placed a call to the officer in question, this gentleman was very upset and yelling on the phone, refusing to give any lead way, saying if he was not on time for his meeting, he would call the police to pick him up and they were going to incarcerate him for one year. After twenty minutes or so, begging and pleading, I managed to convince him to wait as we were leaving immediately. PT CruserWell needless to say while en route I would end up almost losing my vehicle, a new 2008 PT Cruiser only a couple months old to the Ontario Provincial Police due to speeding, she clocked me going 50 kms over the speed limit and in a construction zone no less, current legislation included confiscating the said vehicle and double the normal fine in construction zones for speeding, but for reasons unknown she (the officer) said she would not take my vehicle, and would not double the fine, but I did get a $375 speeding ticket. We arrived in Renfrew one hour late but the guy was in his office waiting, now I had the task of convincing him not to lock a 17 year old boy up for a year with harden criminals, which would do him more harm then good, but he did agree to release him into my custody for 90 days and to return to Mississauga with me, needless to say the boy was as happy as a pig in shit πŸ™‚ I did what I did because I knew him from the day he was born and he has held a special place in my heart and still do, like the son I will never have, even though he is afraid to be seen with me now or to speak to me for that matter. The KitchenThe fact he was going to be living with me for three months, caused issues with my landlord, once he knew I had company living in my unit he wanted more rent. I have been living in this unit for more than 3 years at the time, but to keep the peace I was paying $600 a month, I suggested an increase of $40 a month, he agreed and I assumed that was the end of it, but nooooooooooo I was wrong. One evening I received a call from the landlord regarding a leak under my shower, leaking down to the unit below me, he had to remove my shower to repair it and wanted permission to enter my unit the next day, I granted him the permission, butThe Horror Washroom I would live to regret it though. Arriving home the next day we would find the plumbers in the unit just finishing the shower uninstall, but they had to order a new one, and they would not be able to install it until the next day, leaving us with no running water in the washroom at all, not even for the toilet, I was not impressed but what can you do. I would call him every day for the next four days, inquiring to his intentions for the install of the shower, having to take time off work, 4 days due to no running water, we proceeded back to Renfrew to wait it out. On day four I called one of my brother’s in Brampton and requested he place a call to him for me because he, the landlord had not returned any of my calls or messages. My brother placed a call to him right away but got no answer either but left a message, Me SunGard 2007so on day five I left and headed back to Mississauga, not being able to loose any more time from work, but once I arrived late that night around 11 pm, I was surprised to see the plumbers working so late installing the new shower, it was certainly a relief. It also felt good the next morning, day five to wake up, shower and head to work, but it would be in vain, after 6 1/2 years it would be the day that SunGard would fire me. Now relieved that I no longer had to tolerate the workplace Bullying and Mobbing, but my life was now over, only to get worst. In closing over the last four years I have often wondered why or how I225113_10150978168096890_2016419255_n was still alive, and where my strength was coming from because in late 2010 I spent 8 days in bed, depressed and not able, nor did I have any desire to get out, I just wanted to die, but that’s when by chance I would meet my God sent, the one responsible for where and who I am today….lotsa luv mon ami.

Senor’s Quality Management/The Hudson’s Bay Co.

cert3Seems as though I have been had or they have played yet another game on me, the company “Senor’s Quality Management” sent me an Assignment request to complete, I was to spend $100 at Walmart to evaluate my experience, and the other I was to transfer funds via Western Union, the funds were provided for both assignments by means of a check which I deposited to my Bank account, due to the amount of the check the Bank applied a five day hold, but for reasons unknown the check was not honored by my Bank. This kind of Bullying and fraud has to stop, I seriously have no trust left for society and probably never will again, where is the justice in corporations committing such acts of what I classify as Bullying and fraud, I have been a member and Mystery Shopper since joining July 2013, this would have been my first assignment. Below you will find the company profile for Senor’s Quality Management, a so called division of The Hudson’s Bay Company. I am now also questioning the possibility that they are going to permit me to succeed to completion of the “Web Essentials” program that I am currently enrolled in with the “Canadian Society for Social Development”, everyday I expect a storm, I have lost all faith completely, and have never been so disappointed in the actions of adults that are supposed to be law abiding citizens. I have sent an email to Ashley Zammit my coordinator requesting an explanation because I am totally lost and have no idea why this has been going on for more than 10 years now and I need answers.

Laurentienne Bank (The Corruption Within)

SEMC 3MP DSCFor two years since starting working at Richcraft, I drove the vehicle (Junker) pictured here to the left until Sept 12, 2013 when I had to send it to the scrap yard, it was no longer road worthy. The plates cost $280 per year, I was on a monthly payment plan, the SAAQ (Department of Motor vehicles) debited my account monthly for $21.04, so after the vehicle was gone on Sept 15, 2013, I contacted the SAAQ to cancel the plates as they were not required any longer. I also went to my Bank “Laurentienne Bank” to request a stop payment on my account for that debit, but they refused to apply the stop payment, they said as long as I cancelled the plates the SAAQ would automatically stop the debit. Well I have been receiving my Bank statements from them but did not open the envelopes, I just put them in the file, as I was now using my “ING Direct” Bank account for my Banking, but early December once moving I opened them all only to find the Laurentienne Bank did not apply the stop payment, and the SAAQ kept debiting my account until November 2013, over drawing the account by $-139.19, the SAAQ has now totally cancelled my driving licence, how am I suppose to pay this balance when I barely have enough food to eat.Laurentian Bank - Summary.clipular (2)

god1There are those of us that have a burning or yearning, the thoughts of what excatly is going through the mind at that very moment, putting it bluntly, they shoot themselves, take an overdose or hang themselves, it’s that moment when it will all finally stop, you will be free finally, that’s how bad it can be, believing something so horrific, is the only answer, only to find yourself very dead as well, they end their life (Pain). I honestly can say I know, because at the age of just 19 years old, “I” a failed suicide attempt, as they say “Been There-Done That” I was there and know all the terrible feelings of hurt and pain, and how much you pray for it to stop but never did, until I realized that it was GOD who decided my faith at that moment, he said no my son not now I have things I need you to do for me, but let it be known, I will not decide for you how your life will be, Good or Bad?, nor will I make life wonderful for you, throns of Christ“No” I won’t, as only you have that power, but if you trust me, let me lead the way, I will see you have all that you will need, courage, strength, knowledge and Guidance, you may not see me but I will be at your side no matter what, as long as you follow me you will succeed. at this point I’m Feeling really bad, for my sin and cannot look God in the eye, with tears in my eyes asking GOD for forgiveness, saying over and over how truly sorry I was..he said do not be sorry my son, for I have an abundance of forgiveness just follow me, so I did! the crossA difficult task for some but if you really tried to replace feelings of HATE with LOVE and understanding, you will see it’s a positive step in changing the world. We all have the ability to Hate, we also have the ability to love, always try to choose Love because LoveWorks. In closing, I am sincerely honored for the opportunity to be of assistance and associated with “BetterLegal” and the “It Gets Better Project” So I want to share my sincere gratitude and say thank you very much to Mr. Dan Savage, creator of the “It Gets Better Project” and Mr. Elliot Rozenberg, Director, “BetterLegal” for enabling me this opportunity to participate and offer my assistance for the wellness and security of all LGBTQI people’s …Lotsa Luv πŸ™‚

Please Support LGBT Survey Project for Tanzania.

pict_grid7
Summary
There is almost no documentation of the needs of and challenges faced by LGBT people in Tanzania. Using in-person and web-based interviews, we propose to survey at least 600 LGBT individuals-The survey will assess:
(1) the existence and impact of discrimination and harassment by Tanzanian law enforcement; (2) the existence and impact of discrimination in public services – including access to health services; and (3) discrimination and harassment in employment.
What is the issue, problem, or challenge?

LGBT human rights activists face official harassment. Likewise, there are reports of LGBT individuals facing harassment from law enforcement officials who use criminal charges as means of obtaining bribes. Societal discrimination and a lack of understanding of LGBT people also leads to diminished access to health services. Same-sex sexual activity has been criminalized. And few organizations specifically advocate for LGBT persons in Tanzania.
How will this project solve this problem?
The results, situated within human rights and domestic law, may then serve as a tool for policy advocacy, LGBT civil society capacity building and for encouraging support from other human rights organizations.
Potential Long Term Impact
Reduce incidences of Human Rights violation against LGBT individuals in Tanzania

An Interpretive Dance For My Boss

Do you think she over reacted or is she justified?
Published on Sep 28, 2013, I work for an awesome company that makes news videos. I have put my entire life into this job, but my boss only cares about quantity, how fast we write and how many views each video gets. I believe it’s more important to focus on the quality of the content. When you learn to improve this, the views will come. Here is a little video I made explaining my feelings.

Jack Reese, Gay Utah Teen, Commits Suicide

Header

Jack Reese (right) "was learning to speak Japanese and loved anything to do with Japan," according to his obituary.
Jack Reese (right) “was learning to speak Japanese and loved anything to do with Japan,” according to his obituary.
Friends and family are mourning the death of Jack Reese, a gay Utah teen who took his own life last week after allegedly being subjected to anti-gay bullying at school. Though details of the 17-year-old Reese’s suicide are scarce, his boyfriend Alex Smith spoke frankly about the repeated bullying the teen had experienced at school. Smith, 18, reportedly recalled the incidents at a community event earlier this week at which a bullying film was being screened. As one official is quoted as telling Ogden OUTreach off the record: β€œIt happens here about once a week, but officially, you know, it doesn’t happen here.” An obituary describes the teen as having been “very good with computers and loved to play his X-Box games.” “Jack loved animals and will miss his cat,” the obit continues. article-2137272-12D78BF2000005DC-402_468x332“He was also very good with kids and loved taking care of them. Jack was learning to speak Japanese and loved anything to do with Japan. He was also very good at drawing and photography.” A Facebook group in memory of the teen has been established. “His suicide has impacted so many people,” one user wrote. “I HONESTLY hope things will change because of this, but I also wish that it didn’t have to come down to this for awareness to actually be seen in others who decide to bully others for their sexuality.”

HomepagetaglinePFLAG_NationalConv_logo_2013The local chapter of Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG) expressed its sympathy to Reese’s family in a statement:
“Today, along with the leaders of PFLAG Ogden and the entire community, PFLAG National mourns the loss of Jack Reese as well as the other young people in the Ogden community who have died in similar circumstances. The local chapter of PFLAG along with a broader caring group of adults have been working together tirelessly to address issues of the importance of family acceptance to the youth in this community and similar communities all over the state; sadly, the death of Jack Reese is a reminder that there is still much work to be done.”empower-me

Rebecca Ann-Sedwick-Florida Girl 12, Victim of Relentless Cyber-Bullying

Headerarticle-2417074-1BBF157E000005DC-939_306x423A 12-year-old Florida girl was found dead on Tuesday morning after apparently jumping to her death from the top of an industrial cement silo because she was bullied remorselessly on social media. Last seen leaving her home on the way to school at 6.45 a.m. on Monday morning, Rebecca Ann Sedwick was discovered dead at an abandoned cement factory in Lakeland early on Tuesday.
While police have not officially declared Rebecca’s death suicide, her family fear she took her own life after year and a half of constant bullying which caused her to change her name on one of her social media handles to ‘That Dead Girl’. Her mother, Tricia Norman told Fox 13 in Florida that she reported her daughter missing at 7 p.m. on Monday evening when she failed to return from school. She added that other girls had bullied her daughter so badly online at Crystal Lake Elementary School last year, that she pulled her daughter out to home school her for a while before sending her to Lawton Childs Middle Academy, where she seemed happy.
article-2417074-1BBEFA5D000005DC-433_634x521However, Norman said that the group of five or six girls at Crystal Lake who bullied her on Facebook continued to torment the 12-year-old even after she had left. They would write that she was no good, ugly, stupid and ‘that you should just go and kill yourself’. ‘I guess for whatever reason, they just didn’t like her,’ said Tricia. Indeed, Norman said that she was so incensed by the bullying at Crystal Lake that she filed two complaints to the school. ‘She has been bullied before and people had told her she needed to kill herself,’ Sedwick’s sister, Summer Howard, said to The Ledger. ‘But we all thought she was fine now. No one had known.’ Tragically, Norman said that she was never informed that her daughter did not show up for class on Monday morning because of a problem with Lawton Chiles Middle Academy‘s automated system. article-2417074-1BBEFA52000005DC-647_634x348In the hours after she was reported missing, deputies searching for her discovered her body at around 2.25 a.m. on the ground at a former Cemex cement site. Summer Howard said she told deputies that her sister had snuck into the site, around half a mile from their home, before and used to climb on the cement silos. Police forensic officers were seen on Tuesday afternoon at the top of one of the cement silos dusting for fingerprints. ‘I don’t know what I’m doing,’ Norman said to The Ledger. article-2417074-1BBEFA4C000005DC-775_634x336article-2417074-1BBEFA01000005DC-722_306x423
‘I don’t know what I’m supposed to do next. I just lost my world. ‘My life is just never going to be the same, I’m missing a big part of it, a huge part of it. The Polk Country Sheriff’s Office revealed that Sedwick had been caught cutting herself and making comments about wanting to hurt herself before Monday, but Norman said she didn’t know the cyber-bullying had resumed. ‘She put on a perfect, happy face;she never told me,’ Norman said to The Ledger. ‘I never had a clue. I mean, she told me last year when she was being bullied but not this year and I have no idea why.’ Norman said that the bullying at Crystal Lake became so bad earlier this year that her daughter was hospitalized with self-inflicted cuts on her arms and legs. ‘When she was being bullied at Crystal Lake Middle, she used to come home every day and tell me how she wasn’t worth anything, that she was ugly, how she was stupid,’ Norman said. ‘And I said, β€˜Baby what on earth would make you think that? You’re the most beautiful person I know and the smartest person I know.’ Struggling to deal with her sister’s death, Howard said that even though she was close to Rebecca, she had no idea she was being bullied. ‘She kept it all to herself,’ article-2417074-1BBEF9F4000005DC-837_306x423Howard said. However, once police checked her cell phone they discovered that the bullying had not stopped, especially on Kik Messenger, Instagram and Ask.fm. ‘People just need to stop bullying, period,’ Howard said. ‘You never know whose life you’re affecting.’ An autopsy was completed Tuesday, but results are pending toxicology results, the Sheriff’s Office said.

TOP FIVE COPING RESPONSES TO WORKPLACE BULLYING

Headerfig1painThe empirical research literature on workplace bullying clearly demonstrates the painful impact on recipients, targets. The stress-related physical and psychological health consequences are more extreme than effects of other types of workplace harassment. Thanks to recent advances in neuroscience, we know the effects of psycho-social stressors like interpersonal bullying activate pain pathways in the brain. That is, bullying literally causes pain. This single-question survey asked bullied targets to describe how they chose to offset the pain. Most strategies (75%) pursued to cope with the pain of bullying could be characterized as negative, some to the point of being self-destructive.
The top five strategies were:
top51. Withdrew from family & friends
2. Overeating
3. Drank alcohol more heavily
4. Took it out on family & friends
5. Turned to religion, faith or spirituality

Social withdrawal makes recovery from the harm of workplace bullying more difficult. Social affiliation with others is the best strategy to reverse the effects of distress. Unfortunately, few bullied targets engage. The tendency, driven by shame and distress, is to disengage. Withdrawal of different sorts was the most prevalent strategy adopted by survey respondents.
One-third of respondents reported that they drank more alcohol due to their bullying beerexperiences, ranking it third in the top five list. Drinking more heavily represented 11% of the vote when considered with all other possible coping strategies. A negligible percentage (0.7%) began drinking for the first time in their lives. Bullied targets in this Workplace Bullying Institute study reported more drinking than in the random sample study conducted by Dr. Kathleen Rospenda the University of Illinois at Chicago Department of Psychiatry, 2009. Rospenda’s wisdom is worth repeating. It is very hard to separate the impact on drinking of bullying from other deteriorating family conditions that accompany bullying. Even those who increased drinking chose several other strategies. Finally, it seems bullied targets don’t much turn to using recreational drugs or increased their use (only 2% of respondents). Respondents did choose to do positive things to ease the pain. Within the list of positive actions, relying on one’s religion, faith or spirituality was most frequently chosen. In fact, it was the fifth most prevalent strategy overall and the only positive in the top ranked five.
lostThe choice of actions taken to ameliorate the pain from workplace bullying is probably rarely a rational, conscious decision. If it were, then only positive behaviors — engagement with family and friends, exercise, commitment to learning something new, and turning to one’s preferred faith — would be more prevalent. When targets face their darkest moments in the early stages of bullying, stress limits their ability to see alternatives. Later, when sufficiently over the shock of learning what has happened to them, targets seek information and help. Like the Workplace Bullying Institute, family, friends and coworkers who advise them must be ready to help targets recover by leading them to positive, health-enhancing, stress-busting behaviors. You can read the full report at the Workplace Bullying Institute website.

The Workplace Bullying Institute, founded by Drs. Gary & Ruth Namie, is the first and only U.S. organization dedicated to the eradication of workplace bullying that combines help for individuals, research, books, public education, training for professionals-unions-employers, legislative advocacy, and consulting solutions for organizationsempower-me

Bullying is A Symptom of Society’s Acceptance of Violence

King Edward students Emilee Suchiu, left and Audrey Young display a puzzle piece they created to illustrate Bullying Awareness and Prevention Week during a school activity.
During my 82 years of living, 30 years of teaching both in elementary and high schools and working with youth between 10 and 18 years of age on two continents, my experience taught me that bullying is one of the most despicable of all human deviations. I was therefore happy to hear that the government is finally taking action to fight it. Unfortunately, by trying to deal with the problem essentially only through the schools, it practically guarantees failure. First of all, it does not take into consideration that during the last half century or so, education was almost entirely removed from the school and in its place teaching became the only important aspect. An even greater fault is the fact that the law completely disregards the cause and treats merely the symptom.
Bullying is a form of violence, and our society is swimming in an ocean of effective promotion of violence, from games like Angry Birds to fighting and killing extraterrestrial beings or human enemies, to films and TV programs based on violence. Even sports are used more and more to glorify violence, as some of the CBC ads for Hockey Night in Canada demonstrate that were merely a series of bodychecks, and actually showed no, or at best, minimal hockey. oppsIt would be an extraordinary teacher indeed, who could counteract this ocean of publicity. Freedom is a very important right. Paul Sartre, arguably the greatest prophet of freedom in the 20th century, wisely said that freedom means responsibility, or to paraphrase him, there can be no freedom without responsibility. If somebody wants to practice the right of freely doing something, that person must also accept the responsibility for the consequences of the action. Promoting violence by presenting it as acceptable and even as glorious, as innocent and pain-and consequence-less games for children does hurt society. Since those who promote it do not appear to take the responsibility that is an essential part of their freedom, it is the duty of the governing power to step in and make sure that society is protected from this harm β€” the sooner the better.empower-me
